additional information
Fairchild built this aircraft in 1935 as a luxury private flyer, calling it the “Sedan of the Air”. Bill Cutter purchased one of these five passenger planes to support his flying service as it was a very fast and stable handling aircraft. Cutter flew this aircraft, NC-16865, to drop relief supplies of food and silage to the Navajo and Zuni Indians and their cattle which were stranded during severe blizzards in the winter of 1938.
The plane supported World War II efforts in Naval Navigator Training during 1943.
