The Airlift International Curtiss C-46 “Commando” was used for heavy cargo hauling beginning in October 1967. Operating as a Logair contractor, Airlift carried military air freight to and from Kirtland Air Force Base. Airlift was just one of the many small airfreight carriers that flew under a government contract to Kirtland AFB through the years. Aircraft number N74177 was the plane that landed here during the time Airlift had the contract.
