Continental Airlines Boeing 720B

Continental Airlines began its first jet service to Albuquerque with the Boeing 720B on July 13, 1962. The first plane was number N70773 and flights were operated from Albuquerque to Denver, Colorado as well as to Midland/Odessa and Dallas, Texas. The 720B was a shorter version of the Boeing 707 and Continental’s service to Albuquerque with this jet was short-lived, ending later in 1962. The 720B would make one more brief appearance with service at Albuquerque during the spring of 1973.
