additional information
Frontier Airlines began its first pure jet service to Albuquerque in early 1967 with the new Boeing 727-100 designed for short haul flights. By 1968 a new stretched version of the 727, the -200 model, was introduced to carry more passengers. The first aircraft to serve Albuquerque were N7270F, N7271F and were used on flights to Denver, El Paso, Tucson, and Phoenix. Frontier soon replaced its 727 fleet with more economical Boeing 737’s.
