Additional Information:

The Bell 206 is a family of two-bladed, single- and twin-engine helicopters that are manufactured by Bell Helicopter. The helicopter was originally developed as the Bell YOH-4 for the United States Army but it was not selected. Bell then redesigned the airframe and successfully marketed the aircraft commercially as the Bell 206A Jet Ranger. The updated aircraft was eventually selected by the Army and was called the OH-58 Kiowa. The Bell 206B model has been upgraded with the Allison 250-C20 engine.

KOAT-TV (channel 7) is a television station in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and is the local ABC affiliate. Owned by Hearst Television, the station maintains studios in Northeast Albuquerque, and its transmitter is located on Sandia Crest, northeast of Albuquerque.

KOAT-TV was the second station to broadcast in Albuquerque, signing on in October 1953 as one of two new TV stations in the city in the same month. KOAT-TV’s newscasts have generally led the Albuquerque–Santa Fe market in viewership since the mid-1970s.

Albuquerque Television station KOAT, Channel 7 used the Bell 206 N-600-TV helicopter to cover local and state wide news. It began service for the station on March 1, 1985. The photos we have on file are later Bell Jet Rangers the station flew in different paint schemes.
